Lost key for the glove box on a 1990 Ski Nautique...

Is there anyway to get a replacement key, or do I have to bust the glove box and buy a new lid?

This is my first Nautique...I picked her up yesterday and can't wait to get her in the water!

Before you bust the lid, I suggest you check the availability and price of a new one! I'd drive the boat over to a locksmith first and have him pick the lock then he can make new keys of replace the lock completely. It may be cheaper that a new lid!!!

I just had a local locksmith stop buy my place. The previous owner of my boat didn't pass on the key for the glove box and ski locker. Luckily for me, the locks were all in the "unlock" position. he was able to cut me new keys no problem. Was a friend of a friend, so didn't even charge me anything except some beer! good luck!
