Cheap "Surge brake" brake lines?? where do I find

I have a 93' SN.
I am rebuilding (no longer just repairing ) my trailers surge brakes. The drum needed total replacement due to being a rusty shell inside and out. Anyway, After connecting a brand new surge brake actuator and adding brake fluid - I discovered that my brake line that runs inside the trailer's support rail has rusted thru or been otherwise punctured at some unknown point deep inside the rail. As a result, I need to remove and replace them with new brake lines. I am not considering reapirs just because I can't trust the condition the remaining tubing. Could be crap in the line, etc..
My question:
Where should I go for the lowest price? I tried some online places and it looks like ~$60+shipping for a "rebuild kit" that includes lines and fittings. -OR- Would I be better off going to a car parts store or a home Depot for the tubing and fittings?

I replaced mine with auto brake lines. Worked fine for three years then I sold it. Cant tell you how much longer it held up after that.

I just replaced my disc brake assembly, this is the way to go. It takes less that 1 hour per hub. Just replace the entire hub, bearings, and rotor assembly. I got mine from Champion Trailer at

This way you start will all new parts and get a lot better performance and longevity. It is about $110 per hub.

I just ditched the drum surge brakes on my trailer, and am running without brakes right now. (Before anybosy goes crazy thinking i am unsafe w/o brakes on a SAN, I pull with a F-250 powerstroke that stopes it just as good as a smaller truck with the brakes on the trailer.)

I do plan to put disks on both axles soon, and when i do i will get them from champion. their prices beat almost everyone else's prices, if not everyone's.

I plan to run the tie-down disks, no surge actuatior, elec-draulic actuator like brake-rite, and a master-brake controler. That way, I can set the trailer brakes to hit a split second before the truck brakes.

The masterbrake controler runs off hydraulic pressure of the truck's system, so it is proportional to the brake pedal input, and not a pendulum feedback system like most others'.

Thanks for the responses. I ended up buying a brake line kit from a local trailer repair place in Cincinnati called Haskins. I got all new lines and all the other hardware for $28.00. I had to spend $10 more for a flex hose because of the design of the front of my trailer but all told $42.00 including tax for everything between my actuator and the wheels. Not too bad I guess. Now I just hope my dums and pistons are still in good shape so I can stop spending money on brakes and put it towards a boat stereo!

For those of you who haven't checked your brake lines lately, you might want to. This is how mine looked on the trailer for my '94 when I checked them just over a year ago. This is the connection from the master cylinder.
