FIRST POST - 97 SN GT-40 RPM Gauge INOP

We checked the wires, and no luck. We have perfect pass on it as well. Anyone else know a quick fix/check on this issue? Thanks.

The Tach signal comes to the tach on a gray wire, I believe. I believe it is a "normal" tach signal, so another tachometer, supplied with power, and the signal should work.
My tach quit working once, it was just the wire slipping off the spade connector on the back of the tach.
