I have been plagued with my new 230 TE 409 overheating consistently operating above 5000 RPM. Has anyone else seen high temps under high RPM/ high power settings? The dealer and PCM have tried numerous fixes, but at this point are scratching their heads. It has been 3 trips since new, 3 overheats. Seriously bummed out on this.

There has to be a restriction in the intake or the exhaust system is blocked up with something. -

Thats what I think as well. Its fine under idle and slow / medium cruise. As soon as you get anywhere near 5K, temp starts rising. Within a minute the guage is heading to 200, and on up until the alarm goes off on the dash and it enters "safe" mode and reduces power. The display reads "see dealer" on the LCD. They have re-plumbed the cooling lines, modified the system, and tried a new ECU. Here we sit.....The intake and strainer are clear.Comment

Then you have a problem in one of the exhaust manifolds, have them check the manifolds with a infared thermometer, while running it at higher rpms.Comment
