RE: anyone ever get the "engine knock sensor- see deale
The knock sensor shouldn't be bad but stranger things have happened. Make sure when you put it in you don't use teflon tape or a sealant as this disrupts its ability to detect knock.Nautiqueless in San Diego

It sounds like a loose connection on one of the knock sensors, take them off and check to see if the y are damaged or are corroded causing the issue. and the only ways to erase the code is either use the scan tool system or to run your boat 80 times through a cold to warm engine cycle.

I believe the code is stored in the engines computer, if it is set. The dash readout will only display what the engine computer tells it to.
You need to go back to your dealer and get this dealt with. Knocking can be very damaging to an engine.

There may be a minor problem, or there could possibly be something serious.
A knocking engine can cause serious to itself. Broken piston rings, ring lands on the piston, holes in the piston, damaged engine bearings, that sort of thing.
It is your boat, and your choice on what to do with it.
I know it is a hassle to go back to the dealer, but how much more of a hassle would it be to have a new engine put in your boat, even under warranty?
You should go back to the dealer for the 25 hour checkup anyway.
