zr6 tranny fluid replacement

went to replace my tranny fluid in my 07 236.

stuck my hose down the transmission dip stick, fed it past the little hole, and got it down to about as low as the dipstick goes (bottomed out),

but, I only sucked out ~ 1/2 quart. seems...not right. any other tricks?

Should have worked...I don't use a hose...I use 1/4" OD copper tubing then transition to 1/4" ID 5/16 OD hose at my vacuum pump.
