    Changing transmission fluid

Got a couple tranny questions on my 1992 SNOB with a PCM 1:23...I've used a Pella pump to try and extract tranny fluid through the dipstick fill tube...only get about 1/2 a quart extracted (dipstick shows full) before the pump runs dry...should hold 2 quarts (I've always had the dealer change in the past). Getting to the 7 MM plug to drain as the manual says seems like a difficult task. Any tips to make this easier?

Also, my maunal calls for 20-20W oil (I can't find it anywhere), but my dealer must have used dexron on past changes due to the pink color of the fluid. I assume that dexron is acceptable? I haven't had tranny problems in the past.

    Thanks for any help,
    Bill

just get a vacuum pump at autozone or parts store. Change it at the the end of the day after you used the boat through the dipstick tube. You will probably need to wiggle the tube to get it all the way to the bottom of the tranny. I normally get 2qts out of my boat.
