    Q: What fits this trailer?

Here is a photo of my Ramlin for a 206. I believe it also fits a 196 and 216 by repositioning the winch post.

The bunks in the middle don't even touch my 206. Can anyone confirm what boats fit this trailer and which boats sit on the bunks?

I would say the only purpose of those bunks is to keep the bow from hitting the axle carrier assembly during loading and unloading on very steep ramps?

A buddy of mine had a 206 that had the exact same setup! I assumed it was for positioning during loading since, as you pointed out, they don't even touch while the boat is loaded. One thing I did note, however, was it was a bit tricky to keep the skegs from hitting those bunks.

So, I can confirm that same trailer is used under other 206's, as well as yours.

I had the same question. The trailer is for a 206/216. The center bunks are designed for high angle or deep water loads and ensures that the center bottom of the boat doesnt hit any metal on the trailer. This is atleast what I was told by the dealer.

the trailer that came with my 196 Ramlin does not have those bunks in the center. I have had a 210 on my trailer before too.

I don't think the lower bunks are a safety feature for the 206.

One thing I did note, however, was it was a bit tricky to keep the skegs from hitting those bunks.
hiestand is right....these bunks are a pain with the skegs. I had an email dialogue going back and forth with Ramlin about some bearing numbers...then asked the question about the bunks and what boats fit on this trailer and I never heard back from them.

I've been thinking about cold cutting them off, grinding smooth, and patching the paint....but on the other hand, I may sell this trailer and don't want to lower its value much by 1) modifying it or 2) reducing the number of buyers by eliminating an application.

Another call for 216 owners....does a 216 rest on these bunks?

your trailer is for a 196/206, not a 206/216. i believe that the 216 has its own model ram-lin

I'm pretty sure there are bolt holes on the frame/tongue to mount the winch in three positions. I'm on the middle position.

There is a dedicated 196 trailer (no center bunks), a 196/206 trailer (move the winch), and then a dedicated 216 trailer. The 216 sticks off too far on a 196/206 trailer and doesn't have the right proportionate weight balance. The ID tag on the front should say 216 or 196/206 on it.

The boat will never rest on those center bunks when the trailer is on land. It is used to line the boat up and keep it from riding over top of the fenders while loading and unloading.

I have this same trailer for my 216. Just PM me if you have questions. The boat does not sit on the inner bunks. There is about a 1 1/2 inch gap.
