Products to clean carpet?

My 01 SAN's carpet is pretty sun beatin and needs a good cleaning. Does anyone have any product recommendations to hopefully give it some life?

I've got the Bissell Little Green Machine and it does a pretty good job. It's about $100, but I found mine on Craigslist for $35 in great condition. It deep cleans and has a built in brush. I'm sure others on here will recommend it as well.

I've also used the chemical (diluted) used in the Little Green Machine, brushed it in with a soft brush and power washed it into the bilge...worked nicely.

I've had good results using Resolve carpet cleaner.

Watch out for carpet cleaner that has alot of surfactants in it. This is what makes carpet look like new and then makes it look like crap in a couple months. Alot of door to door salesmen sell this stuff and show you how well it cleans your carpet in a small spot area then a few months later its the nastiest looking spot on your carpet.

On the subject of cleaning carpet, what are you guys using as a carpet brush, does anyone know of a good hand brush?

We have used the "dry" product made by Resolve on our high traffic areas in the house and the results are nothing short of fantastic. This product says no "dirt attracting residue" left behind.
