How can I remove yellow water stains from water on vinyl?

On vacation and the boat was parked where lawn sprinklers got the vinyl wet and left a slight yellow stain on the seat. Can anyone suggest how to clean the seat / remove the stain?

RE: How can I remove yellow water stains from water on viny

I've got the same problem and haven't been able to get it off. I've tried a ton of different things, but fear that I'll do more harm to the vinyl than good. I've tried Meguiars 57, 3M Vinyl Cleaner, Magic Eraser, and Scrubbing Bubbles.

My stains are from a life jacket that was wet that was left on the seat for about 2 weeks. I know it was dry for part of that time, but the damage is done.

Curious if anyone has any other suggestions and has had any success.

Try letting it sit in the sun for a day, if possible. I have gotten some yellowing on a couple of seats cushions and the sun cleared mine up.

My concern with bleach is that it would dry out the vinyl too much and would be too harsh. I guess you could dilute it. Has anyone else had success with bleach?

I tried the sun method on mine this last weekend, but no dice. It's definitely worth a shot if you haven't already tried though.

Try some WD-40. An upholstery shop owner used it on some vinyl and it worked.
