    Dash Panel resetting

I just bought my first Nautique, and '07 206. It has the keyless ignition and Perfect Pass. However, I have noticed one thing, and want to make sure this is right.

There are no codes set. I hit the start button, and the "system" turns on. The PP powers up, etc. Whenever I actually start the engine, the whole dash panel seems to "reset" - PP reboots, etc... Something doesn't seem right about this to me. I've read through the manual, and it doesn't really say anything about this.

My friend seems to think this would be proper behavior (used the analogy of a car radio turning off whenever you start a car)

Hmmm. I seem to recall on my checkride the dealer said that the computer remembers what is "on" just before you enter your code and then press stop to get out of the system. Try turing off the radio etc. before getting out of the system. Then code out. See what comes up when you code back in. I can tell you that on my 07 210 the first push of the start button does not turn everything on, but when starting the engine with the second press anything that is on does sort of reboot - I don't think my perfect pass comes on before ignition, and I know non of the gauges light up until either I start the engine or i do the quick start button push (second time).
