Ballast question upgrading from aerator's to jabsco's

My 03 SAN has 2 aerators per fat sac 1 fill 1 empty and run off of the ballast switches on the keypad. My question is if I switch to 1 jabsco per fat sac can I use the keypad switches or do I have to install the switches that come with the jabsco's. Can the key pad switches handle the power draw and are they DPDT?

Mikeski, I believe, has done this successfully. You have to add relays and partially rewire to use the keypads. The switches on the keypad are not meant to carry anywhere near that much of a load on them.
My personal opinion is just use the switches that come with the pumps, it is easier and pretty straightforward.

Like WakeSlayer said, you will have to add a relay for each pump. Basically the wires going to the factory pumps would wire to the coil of the relay. Then you could add wire to the new pumps from a better power source. I recommend fuses on the load side for protection. Here is a topic I started awhile back on the same subject. Mikeski did it on a 211. Scroll down and you will see his pics of the install.
