    Perfect Pass run without engine

Does anyone know if the Perfect Pass can be on and "played with" out of water and without the engine on?

My dealer told me yes, so while I am changing the oil in my new pride and joy, I decided to start up the PP and play around with it a bit. However, it seems as if it acts like the "up" arrow is pressed all the time. I can't do anything with it, it boots up in Trick mode, and the speed keeps incrementing.

    This is Digital Pro 6.5NG.

    Update...

I went back out after an hour or so, tried it again, and low and behold, it worked fine, for about 90 seconds. Then it slowly started inputting the up arrow again.

What about Low Voltage to the system? Would this cause this behavior? (I was reading right at 12 volts).

We have a older version, 6.0 and I have no problem scrolling through the menus or setting it up while boat is parked at home or at the lake. Email Digital Pro and they will give you a link to the Owner's Manual.

I have version 6.5NG and mine works fine with the ignition on but the engine off. It almost sounds like the up arrow is getting stuck. The on/off button on my original display went bad and I sent the display back to PP and had it repaired.

Well, it is definitely out. I took it to the dealer yesterday, and they said some master control something or other is probably bad. No problem, we'll just order another one.

It will only take.....wait for it.....4 weeks to get here.

Ugh, I've only had this boat for 6 days, and this happens.

Is there a way to disable/unplug the PP in the meantime? (I forgot to ask that yesterday at the dealer)

I'd call PP directly. We had a PP stargazer master module go bad last week and they overnighted us one.
