    I think youre crazy.

I had a similar issue a few years ago. Instead of going straight down the dipstick hole to the bottom of the case, the tube got diverted off to another hole in the side. I kept pushing it further in, wondering why my pump wasnt drawing fluid. When I got a light and saw what had happened, it was too late- it was snagged and would not pull back out. In talking to a few tranny experts, they suggested I pull the trans and get it out rather than run it- so thats what I did.

No need to rebuild while youre in there, but do inspect everything. If it looks good, button it back up. If not, send it out for a rebuild- but pulling the trans is not a hard job at all.

Mikeski, definitely true... worst case scenario I trash it and end up having to rebuilding it regardless. I'm sure there are some mechanics out there cringing at the thought of this. Luckily it isn't too large of a lake where I'll be stranded in the middle of no where. I'm sure I'll at least get a couple solid pulls out of it

So if I pull the transmission, by unbolting it from the engine block... will I be able to access the tube inside? It appears the transmission is in two pieces. I'm about to take a photo and post it. brb
