    Need help with ballast pump

2002 SAN have bad pump on one of the rear ballast tanks. It is one of the fill pumps. It is the pump closest to the center of the boat to be exact. When I tried to take it out to replace it I tried spinning it out and the ports on the pump hit the tranny (I believe it's the tranny) when you go to spin it off. So no luck getting it out because you can only spin it like a quarter spin until it hits and stops. How do you get this pump out to replace it?? It is the original pump from the factory install. Any help would be great. thanks in advance

Pull the philips head screw from the side of the pump, give the top a quarter turn counter clockwise while holding the lower portion still. The top part will come right off. Replace it with the same thing, I have some in a box if they are the white 750gpm units. Send me $10 for shipping and I will send you one.
