Ballast tank fill problem on '09 216v

I pickup up the boat 2 weeks ago and on the check out ride it was discovered the port and center ballast tanks were not filling. The starboard tank fills and empty as expected and when filling you can clearly here the pump running. When we selected the port or center tank there was a very slight hum but the tanks did not fill. I had the option to leave the boat for them to look at or take it and on the 20 service they would fix the problem. I opted to take the boat and have the problem correct at the 20 hour. Now after two weekends with the boat I really want the tanks to work and do not want to wait until the service. Any idea what could be the problem? We looked at the fuses and the light on the control indicates it should be filling.

Are you sure the seacocks are open? Are the pumps loud or quiet? You might have spun the centers out of the impellers in the pumps.

seacocks are open and the [pump on the 2 tanks that are not filling are quiet while the working pump is a lot louder.

I see that you're in MD. Did you buy your boat from Chessie by chance?

If they are quiet then the impellers spun the centers out. The yellow ones are notorius for that. Have your dealer intall the green ones under warranty.

I knew it. YMMV. Personally, I think they should have checked out the boat and found this issue before having you come pick up the boat. A wakeboat without usable ballast is not a good situation.
