    Trailer Tire Opinions

Had a blowout on my Eagle single axel trailer this weekend when towing home. I installed my spare and made it home safely. My spare is a Loadstar K550 (225/75 R15) and the old tire was a Carlisle (same size and rating). I want to replace the blown tire with a new identical Loadstar K550 and transition this new tire to the other side so I am running new tires. My question is I have read mixed reviews and I wanted to know if anyone has had better luck with one brand Vs the other.

Also, max PSI is 65...what PSI are people running their tires? Without detailed measurements, the old tires had even tread wear and I was running 50 PSI cold. Before getting on the highway, I hit some thick branches in the road at 30mph and I believe this is what caused the blowout. I did my best to avoid the debris in the road...

Eagle single axel with a 2003 206 Air.

    Thanks for anyone's input.

    RE: Trailer Tire Opinions

I have had better luck with Tow Masters than I did with my Goodyear Marathons. I still prefer bias ply tires for a boat trailer, they just seem to trail better and bounce less?
