    2001 san wont start ?

I have a 2001 san. I Took it out last weekend and it wouldn’t start. I have a two battery set up with a perko switch. When I power on the boat can hear the fuel pump turn on but on the volt gage it only shows 10 volt. When I press start nothing happens. I thought it was my batteries. Took them out got them tested they are good. I checked all connections everything seems to be good. I think it might be my starter but not sure. Any suggestions?

Replace your cranking battery with one that you know is good (one from your truck or something)...that way you can eliminate the batteries if it still won't crank. Does the starter solonoid click when you hit start? I don't think 10 volts is enough to crank over the motor. Mine acted the same way and I replaced both batteries and it was fine.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the lanyard due to years of deterioration and was not holding the switch in tight enough to complete the circuit. Once the lanyard is eliminated, I would try to jump it using a battery box or the battery out of your truck. Good luck.

Do a search on relays, too.

Check the fuse on the manifold, then check the safety lanyard too.
