RE: Perko Flush Pro tubing size?? quick question
i'm pretty sure the PCM Chevy engines use the 1 1/4. the other smaller size is for the ford engines. i picked one up for my 2008 230 and it was the 1 1/4. if you look on this site
http://www.skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1046
you can see that the smaller size is for Ford engines.

You need to check your boat before you order that. Your raw water strainer hose is the size that you need to match and that is easily checked and accessible. I believe unless you have a closed cooled 6.0 you will have a 1" raw water intake.2001 Super Air Nautique

RE: Perko Flush Pro tubing size?? quick question
mine is exactly like airtool said its 1 inch going into the strainer then 1 1/4 coming out, should the flush pro go before or after the strainer?? it looks as if it would be much easier to access on the 1 1/4 side but ive heard its best to let everyting go through the strainer

RE: Perko Flush Pro tubing size?? quick question
Unless you want your flushpro to become your strainer, it needs to be downstream of the strainer.
You will especially want it downstream if you are going to charge your block with antifreeze for the winter. You can suck in antifreeze through the flush pro and it won't fill the strainer. I believe it is recommended to NOT leave your strainer charged with antifreeze. Might depend on what antifreeze you use.
You might consider just installing a tee and forgetting the flushpro. Simpler, safer, and cheaper.
More comments on hose sizes later...I have to go now.

RE: Perko Flush Pro tubing size?? quick question
More on the hose sizes. I'll find out for sure this winter. But I believe the factory strainer has 1" connections and on the 1-1/4" hose side, CC or PCM just tightened down the hose to make it work on a 1" fitting. At least it looks that way to me. Looks like a good place for the hose to fail and/or the connection to suck an air leak.
I've found a site with a broad selection of the CPVC fittings and they make a 1-1/4 hose to 1" thread that is generally not available in stores. They have a 30 buck minimum order so I might offer to manage a group buy through me for anyone that wants to fix this issue and install a flush tee.
