Electrical Draw on Battery

Guys,
I have a slight draw on my battery when all is off. After several days the battery goes dead. I have started disconnecting guages, and using a meter trying to find it. Any input? I have a 351 Pro-Boss Pro-Tech. This motor has I believe (3) different sensors for the Pro-Tech system. Could any of those be the problem? I know I need to just keep disconnecting guages, etc. Just thought maybe someone could enlighten me! Help!

When you say "all is off" are you referring to the master switch under the dash? I'm not sure which boat you have, but we have a master switch in our 2001 Air. When that is switched off, there should be no draw unless something is connected to the battery that bypasses that switch, e.g. the constant power for the stereo or something like that.

I have a 1994 Nautique. There is an "ignition" switch that kills the engine from starting, but all else will work if I am not mistaken. The usual culprit for these problems is the radio. I unhooked it, and no luck. I have a light under the front seat. I am going to try that one next.

How many batteries? On the same bank?

One battery. Nothing except the starter cables hooked to it (the big Black and Red cables).

I understand you want to find the battery drain, but I'd still put a battery switch in. I went with a Blue Sea Dual switch, incase I want to add a battery later.

Had the same problem.Found it to be the rectifer pack in the alternator.Remove the thick wire from rear of alternator.Re check the draw Im willing to bet your draw will have ceased.Hope that helps.

PS its dead easy to replace the rectifier pack.

To clarify, You should find and fix the problem. Then put in the killswitch. I did not mean to imply to cover it up.

good catch, Wake. I raised an eyebrow when I read that. Check the clock on your radio. If it's the right time then you're drawing power there, but shouldn't be even close to enough to kill the battery in two days. I would concur with the alternator issue, which is consequently an easy fix, should that be the problem. I wouldn't think a relay would be doing it either, but who knows...
