Vibration around 26mph??? wasnt there before

Hello everyone i have a 04 sante 210 and it has been wonderful until yesterday when i took it out for a small cruise for some dinner, it was fine on the way out and accelerated perfect no issues, then on the way back to the ramp when i accelerated there was a very bad vibration around 26mph, it is very small vibration until around 26mph and around that speed it just gets horible, ive loooked around and ive seen some issues with a bent prop causing this, but i didnt hit anything while boating so i dont think this is the issue....any ideas??

It definitely sounds like a prop issue. Even though you do not think you've hit something, you really never know until you get down there and inspect the prop. Also, take a look at the skegs and rudder for bends, play, etc......basically do a complete inspection of those items.

well to the best of my knowledge everything looks correct, the prop has a snug turn when turning it and nothing is loose oe seemingly out of the norm.......

Check your fluids, trans coupler, strut, strut bearing. Make sure you have a good tight fit on the shaft with the propnut. Perhaps it got loose, but torqued back on the shaft.

I had a similar experience several years ago; slight vibration at low speed but it got much worse at around 25 mph. I pulled the boat out of the water and a branch was stuck on the rudder. The prop and everything else checked out ok visually. Pulled the branch, put the boat back in and everything was fine - no vibration. Just saying it could have been similar. Visual inspection shows nothing. A foreign object may have dropped off and now everything is fine. But then again, I've had prop damage you couldn't visually see either.

I second that. First time was I had a prop repaired on vacation, looked great, but had a slight vibration at high speeds. Thought I had a bent shaft or something and took it to WL. They checked it out, had the prop re-fixed and everything was fine.

Second time was I hit the gas and had drifted too shallow. Barely hit a mud bottom. Just enough to give me a vibration.

hmm.......well its funny you say that about branches because there were tons os small bushes/branches in the water that day for some reason, im assuming all the rain we have been getting, so im guessing i wont know until i get back on the water, if it continues i guess ill get it checked out, the prop that is, it just makes no sense that it started from nowhere. but the fluids all look correct so this is what im thining to be the last effort

I've had branches or sticks catch and cause a vibration like this too. Usually I can fix it without taking the boat out of the water by stopping and putting it in reverse and giving it a little gas and it will dislodge the stick. Next time it happens try that.

I've got a good one...I hit a turtle with the tracking fin one time. It split the turtle's shell and it stuck to the tracking fin. I didn't have vibration, but it was riding really funny. I found the turtle when I pulled the boat out of the water.

The really odd thing was, I was in the middle of the lake driving 25-30 mph in 60 feet of water. The turtle was probably only 5 inches in diameter.

Sorry for the threadjack...sounds like a prop to me....you may not be able to see the damage with the naked eye.

i appreciate all the comments and help, it was taken out on labor day with absolutely no problems at all, so im assuming it was a branch or stick that must have fallen off or became dislodged when trailering the boat, hah the turtle story is pretty crazy, whats the luck of that, so im hoping no more vibrations to come
