I am reading between 1 and 2 volts across a couple of the wires on the main incoming serial cable, but cant says that is bad, it may be how the signal transmits. Unsure on that one though. They didnt work, then they worked for the test drive, now they dont work again. I dont get it.

Are the pins in the trunk connectors shiny bright?

Reaching for straws here..but was thinking that if any of the pins had green stuff on them....especially in the trunk, I'd carefully spray them with tuner/electrical contact cleaner. Sounds like you don't need it.

They all seemed pretty clean so i dont see a need for that. Like I said, they were a problem prior to test drive and then they "disconected and re-connected the plugs" and all was fine for the test drive. Now I am home without so much as touching water and I cant get the guages to tell me how many hours are on the dumb boat.

That's where mine is on the 206.

Did you open up the Gateway box to check for moisture on the circuit board? That is what fried mine out, the speedo lines did not self drain over the winter as they are supposed to and backed water up into the Gateway.

Pull the oil pressure gauge out of the dash along with one of it's short jumper cables. Take it to the gateway and plug it in in place of the existing long can cable. Each of the gauges has a can address internally so it doesn't matter where or what order you plug them in at, they will read the correct info off of the canbus. If the gauge lights up when you turn the power on, then you either have a bad can cable from the gateway to the dash, or your first gauge in the series is bad. If the gauge doesn't light up, then I'd look to it being a bad gateway.

I did have 12 volts at the power cable going into the gateway and to the purple switched wire as well. I will try the gauge swap to rule out the wire.

No go on the gauge swap. The connector at the gateway is different that the gauge plugs. I did take out the first gauge and hook the main wire into that with no change.

Here is a new one, I disconnected the connector ont he box and reconnected it and the guages worked for like 4 seconds, my guages went to where they were supposed to, the LCD lit up on the tach and the speedo and then it went back to nothing. I tried to emulate it agin and I couldnt make them come up again. Now this is just irritating.

Boat went to Son Watersports today. He is finding some spooky things with it but I will inform you all what it was when it is done.

I didnt even get the chance to drive it as my own before it went to the shop. What a bummer man.

I agree. I know you're on assignment now...but my last thought was to find a friend and test your gauge on his and his gauge on yours.

The dealer will figure it out I'm sure.

I would do that but I dont really know anybody with a boat like a 03 sante. Most people I know have older boats ar newer malibus. If I had access to one I would have swapped the gateway to narrow it down. I did try to find the price of one online through sponsor sites and other but came up with no prices for the gateway.

Nautiques of Orlando's online store has the gateway boxes on their site. They range in price from $700 or so to $1500 depending on the year and model. Son's will figure it out. Kind of sounds like a bad cable to me.

I know it has only been a day but is there any update? Hope it is an easy cheap fix for you, I would be disappointed if I was in your shoes since summer is coming to a quick end.
