our floorboard is feeling like it could give a little ways down the road. Has anyone here had any success reinforcing theirs?

The floor in a '96 is thin (about 1/8") of fiberglass laid directly over structural foam. Problems occur due to impact loads that can compress the foam. The fiberglass rebounds, but the foam does not, thus every time you step in that spot you feel the fiberglass flex. Ultimately, the fiberglass can crack due to stress. The only way to correct is to pull up the carpet, cut out the delaminated foam/fiberglass and lay in new glass (localized).
In the future avoid letting people jump into the boat...the normal cause of such problems.
