    Serpentine Drive Belt

Can anyone suggest how many hours of operation before the belt should be replaced. While I give it as once over each time I start it up a thorough inspection is only possible when the belt is removed as i would for water pump impeller inspection/removal. I'm just thinking that I would prefer to replace the belt at regular intervals so as to avoid the breakdown when one least expects or needs it and would like to do this at the proper. I don't want to be replacing a belt more often than is necassary. I have a 2008 SN 206 with Excalibur motor with 90 hours on the clock, one year old, based in Dubai. Thanks.

If you are only putting 80 hours of use per year, I wound worry about the belt about mid September, 2014.

Fatboy, just check it out for cracks in the grooves and ware on the top and sides, should last a long time. I have 2145 hr. on my tige' and it still has the oringal serpentine belt.
