    1995 SuperSport

    I got a 1995 SS,it has the GT40 engine,310hp
There is a canister looking thinggy with 2 wires coming out of the bottom .Fuel flows through this thinggy. It is right before the fuel pump which is mounted on the rear of the engine block, and right after a inline fuel filter.
I dont have any pictures of it right now
What is this?If its a fuel seperator ,what do the 2 wires do that go to the bottom of it
If it is a fuel seperator, were can i get another filter for it
    Thanks for any info

Oh yea,how many fuel pumps does this boat have,i see one pump(inline)on the back of the block, are there any more?

A GT40 in '95? I thought that PCM was still supplying the TBI engines in '95. Oh well. Anyway, if it is a GT40, there are two fuel pumps: low pressure and high pressure. The low pressure is visible and the high pressure pump is located inside the FCC (Fuel Control Cell). The FCC is a long canister with wires coming out of the TOP. The canister unscrews from the head and located inside is the pump, fuel filter/water seperater.

You need to provide pictures, things in your description don't add up.

Sounds to me like he described the FCC. My understanding is that they are notoriously difficult to unscrew (the first time anyway) and it will require 2 strap wrenches. Search for "Fuel control cell" in this forum.

I believe in 95 you get the engine both EFI and TBI. I have a friend who has a 95Sn with the GT40 in it.

My engine is an EFI engine GT40 310 hp,ill try and get a picture of the cainister up,its not very big ,maybe 6inchs tall and 4inches in diam. And has 2 wires going to the bottom of it.The wires do not run together, they are seperated when they get to the bottom of the cannister,it has 1 on 1 side and 1 on the other ,about an inch apart.

Sounds like the low pressure supply pump.

I believe the early GT-40's in 1995 did not have a Fuel Control Cell. It was a different style high pressure pump.

That is why we need a picture. Not trying to split hairs, just an anal retentative thing I have....A TBI engine is an EFI engine as well. Just like the GT40 is an EFI engine. But, the GT40 engine is not a TBI engine, but rather a MPI engine. I am sorry...ok to ignore me.
