I took it out for the first time today and I figured out it has more problems with it than I had thought.
I tried to use the PP and it didnt seem to want to work. We went through the setup process and reset the whole thing and it went through the calibration and checklist and it all was within spec except the servo movement didnt happen and the whole time the servo seemed locked up. Is this a bad servo? Somethig else.
We were floating and I went to start the engine and hit start and the whole boat went dead. No guages, no music, nothing. I hit the perko switches for the batteries and brought it back up and then it seemed to work. Later in the day, All the buttons worked except the start button. Out of irritation, I slapped it and all of a suddon it worked again. When I bought the boat, it supposably had a new keypad installed. Could it be a faulty keypad or some other related component?
It seems when I buy a new nautique, it gives me nothing but problems for the first year and then it is reliable. This one really scares me because I can do all my own work, but when you have serial wire fed guages from a computer and a 8 wire hookup (or whatever it is) on a keypad that has a 16 button of functions, it might make my life miserable. I cant re-run anything, bypass anything, test anything other than power at the components.
Hopefully it gets better from here on out. :???: At least the wake was phenomenal.
