1992 Ski Nautigue PCM ProBoss 351 still running hot,,,

I've replace the impeller , thermostate, and still running warmer than usual (190). Understand the impeller pieces may be clogging up. I've beentold that the pieces collect in the cooling hose to the transmission.
What does the line to the transisiion look like?
    Thanks for any help!

Whoever told you that does not know what they are talking about.

The water comes from the tranny cooler to the RWP. Check the lines that run from your RWP up to the tstat housing.

You might also be sucking air somewhere in between the bottom strainer and the RWP.

You might also have a bad ground....what is the temp with nothing on?

The boat runs cooler without the stat. The gauge appears to be in good operating condition. The RWP line to stat husing is good.
Is it possible that I have a chuck of old impeller in block?

Is it a marine thermostat? Generally speaking 143* for carbed motor, 160* for MPI. If you just went and got a stat from the auto parts store for a ford 351, they would have given you the wrong one.

          T-Stat for 1993 Ski Nautique

          I just ordered a 160 degree t-stat from skidim for my 93. It is a carburated PCM 5.8 Pro-Boss 351 ford. DId I order the wrong t-stat?

Got the stat from Whitel lake Marina- marine stat. It is a 143. At 180-190, still to high; right?

yes, it is a bit high.

Have you checked for air leaks? tighten all your hose connections with a 5/16" nut driver. You need to do this at least annually. Also, inspect your strainer for cracks and verify that the O-ring gasket is still there. When you replaced your impeller, was it intact?

Impeller wasd in pretty bad shape but used garden hose to blow out the system. Some pieces must be stuck in the block.

Thanks for all of your feeback. I found the issue,,,loose hoses in tow areas.
I did remove most of the hoses and blew out with vacuum cleaner. Found some impeller rubber in some areas.
Correcting all of those items final got me to the right heat range.
