PLEASE HELP

Winterizing boat today and was taking knock sensor off to drain block accidently touched wrench to starter and sparked and lost power turned main switch off and turned back have power to the boat but it won't start now clicks one time checked breakers nothing blown please help.

Ok got it it wasn't electrical the shifter wasn't engaged. Wow

Agree post of the year. Also I want to know did you have your computer in the boat with you. The first post was at 2:19,2nd at 2:34 and you solved the problem at 2:54.

Wow, ya'll are harsh! I guess he and I are the only ones that have done stupid things. My worst was buying a new battery and a new jump box because I thought the battery was dead. Turns out the kill switch got hit when someone placed their ski bag in the boat. Yellow_Flash_Colorz:

I flooded my boat this year because of that! The wife was sitting in the captains chair and decided.....Hmmm, what that red thing do? (yank) Didnt bother to tell me or to put it back. I think she enjoyed the fit I threw when the boat wouldnt crank!

I think a lot of people have dealt with the GT-40 version of the problem. "My boat starts and runs, as long as I hold the key or start button in the start position, and then it dies."

You can tell it's getting cooler in certain parts of the world.... Between this and the N3 boat thread there is a bunch of hatin' going on.

toosicky, good to hear you found the problem and it was a easy fix. Keep your head up. Once cold weather sets in everyone on the message boards get a sick up their butts..
