07 SAN 210 Annual Maintenance

Curious as to what you guys do for your "annual Maintenance" to your SAN's.

The list below is what my mechanic recommended -are spark plugs and cap and rotor nessesary to replace every year?



"Oil and filter, trans. Fluid, v-drive oil & filter, Spark plugs, Cap & Rotor, fuel filter, impeller, clean flame arrestor, tighten bolts, check trailer, lube everything, check all functions and components."

I would recommend following PCM's recommendations over what your dealer says.

Below is the 2007 PCM Excalibur Owner's Manual. Take a look at pages 52 and 53 and you'll see exactly what you should be doing.

No.

Plugs, cap and rotor? Ask Pete B. how long he had his plugs in his boat for.

Engine oil and filter, absolutely. And tighten all your hoseclamps at least once a year.

Trans and Vdrive are not a bad idea, but there really is no reason to do this annually unless you are putting 300-400 hours a year on the boat.

Impeller, keep a spare around. Inspect it annually and replace if the vanes are starting to wear out or are cracked.


I am not recommending anyone ignore the manual, just saying what I do, and others, and can state that I have never had any problems associated with any of these systems due to my practices.
