10 minutes from a cold engine? Did you measure how much oil came out?

Were you over full when you added the new oil?
Yes, the right amount came out and no, the right amount went in.
Seems too easy, wish my cars were that easy!

JABSCO 12V PORTA QUICK OIL CHANGER W/ REVERSIBLE PUMP

The first time I tried changing the oil on my 07 216, I tried running the drain hose through the hull, but it moved so slow there was no way I could hold the container that long.
Had to eventually go & get a pump to attach to the drain hose. It was one of the ~$20 walmart ones. Oil was pumped out in under 10 minutes. Given that my boat has permanent carpet, I saw this thing as an accident waiting to happen.

I had seen the dealer use a much nicer pump at the 25 hour change, and finally figured out what they were using. While it retails for mid 200's, you can get it off the net for low 100's.

With my JABSCO 12V PORTA QUICK OIL CHANGER W/ REVERSIBLE PUMP I can pump 4 quarts of oil out in 1-2 minutes, and it pumps directly into its self contained bucket -- no carpet worries. The pump's hose fits snugly over the brass fitting of the oil pan drain hose.
It even comes with an extra hose & adapter that I can use to suck transmission fluid or put down a dipstick tube of something that doesn't have an oil pan hose.
I'll agree the thing wasn't cheap, but it sure has simplified the oil change process for me & removed a lot of the risk of accidental carpet damage.
