    Need upholstery sealant/adhesive

I'm starting to repair some of this year's wear and tear to get her back to perfection.

    1. I snagged the motor cover on the boom clamp and peeled back a bit of the rubber trim/weatherstrip where the top meets the clamshell. Follow me? I didn't tear anything at all and was able to push the piece back into place. It looked to me, though, that that trim/weatherstripping was sealed or glued to the vinyl to keep water from running down between the vinyl and the back of the weather strip. What glue or sealant can I use to fix this?

    2. The top layer of foam insulation under the motor cover is peeling back a bit at the edges. I'd like to re-glue these. Should I use the same glue for item 1? or perhaps something like 3M black or 3M yellow? ...or other?

Airtool for the insulation I would use a 3m spray adhesive. It comes in an aerosol can. You can buy it in different strengths from any rubber or plastics supplier. Be careful as it can be messy. As far as the other issue I would have no clue as to what to use. I used superglue on tiny stuff like that on my old nauti. I was told to use that to keep small spots from getting bigger by my vinyl guy.

My opinion if I understand what you are referring to:
        1. rubber contact cement. You talking about the black rubber piece on the engine cover where it meets the carpeted part of the engine cover? Put some of that stuff in the area, then clamp a board to it for even pressure.
        2. 3m spray adhesive like Dave mentions above. Spray both surfaces, let it sit for 5-10 min. Press back into place.
