1999 176 ignition circuit breaker switch keeps popping

Was out the other day and my ignition switch started popping. Eventually I couldn't get the boat started and so temporarily change the ignition wires to the blower switch. After awhile that started to pop, so I got the boat back to the ramp and out of the water. I haven't pulled the blower switch yet but assume maybe it's a different amp rating, which is why it started to blow. For now, I'm going to start with changing the ignition switch. Does that sound right?

So I looked all over for an online place to order the switch. It's an ETA 250vac 28V 15A switch. Some other numbers on it are 45-700-IGl-P10-DD. Where's a good place to order these?

Youre correct that the blower and ign breakers have different ratings. The ign is rated for 25A and the blower only at 6A. Check all the connections at the dash and any accessories that are daisy chained from them to make sure you dont have a short or a bad connection. I would go through and clean all the contacts as well. If the problem persists, I would suspect a bad ignition breaker.

White Lake sells all of them:

      Brett-

Unfortunately the switches installed in the '80s CCs were higher quality than the '90s. I just picked up a '96 with 400 hours on it and the switches do not work nearly as well as my '86 with 1600 hours on it.
