How does one change this small filter? It is inside the black cylinder attached to the side of the low pressure fuel pump. Does it unscrew? It appears to have four sided nuts approximately 1+ inch across. What type of wrenches fit these? They seem awfully tight. Why would PCM use a hard to change prefilter in front of the main fuel filter inside the FCC? I don't get it, especially after dinking around with it for an hour without success!

The filter was only used one or two years. Are you sure you have one?
Item 20 should unscrew. I posted this pic long ago.

First disconect fuel line going to fuel tank/using a cresent wrench loosen outer cap/ I had to lift up a little when the fuel barb was in the down position/ replace gasket-flat washer/ pull out filter and replace/reassemble and check for leaksCurrent
