Here is the issue as I understand it. Water does get into the gas, no matter what we do. As long and the amount of water stays below a certain amount, if your gas has alcohol in it, the water just dissolves in the alcohol, the alcohol (and water) just dissolve in the gas, and the gas in burned, with no problems.
If the amount of water gets above the amount that dissolves without any problems, well, you have problems.
If you only use your boat a few hours a year, condensation can put enough water into the gas to create problems. One option, the desired one, in my opinion, is to use your boat more. You also need to keep the tank full, to minimize the air space in the tank, so with temperature changes, less air that is humid gets into your tank.

Thanks DanielC. That was a good explanation. If alcohol dissolves the small amount of water, then I wonder why the pump would corrode so badly - even with frequent draining of the FCC. No worries I guess - since PCM is taking care of the pump, just puzzles me I guess.

It may be that the humidity in Florida makes condensation inside the gas tank more of a problem in your area. Where you get your boat gas can also have an affect on the amount of water that gets into your tank.
