    Ballast Tank Fix

What's the point of the black PVC pipe (next to the tape measure in the pic)? The length is such that it is almost long enough to reach the bottom of the ballast tank. Isn't this just the overflow so that when the tank is full the water will start flowing out the side of the boat via this hose? Is the length of the PVC critical? I have purchased the elbow to make the repair and was planning on cutting the black PVC pipe off and bonding it to the new elbow. But this will make the black pipe +/- 1/2" shorter. Will it matter?

I did mine last winter too. Then my buddies saw my system and I ended up doing two more. It smokes the old system to say the least.

What did you guys do with the dash holes where the levels were? Blanks?

Mine did not have them. I had the little panel below the throttle. My friend had a system put in his SV211 and they put the rocker switches for the ballast puppies where the dials were. I would not hook a newer ballast set up to the electronic control panel. You have to add some relays etc and they are just too problematic, in my opinion.

So puppies fill a 750 from the bottom without problems?

Same here, I didn't have gauges on the dash. They were below the throttle. I replaced the black panel and cut new holes for the switches.
