where is hourmeter on 97 sport?

I must be loosing it, but I can't remember where the hourmeter is. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

The hourmeter location in 1997 was optional. It depends on what gauges were in your dash. Some 1997 boats were ordered with a clock in one of the holes, and a depth sounder in another hole, and that would displace the hour meter to a different location.
One possible location is in the panel that the throttle handle attaches to.

Hmm...I've had the boat for around a year now, I know I looked at the meter when I bought the boat, but can't remember now. Is it possible that the meter was on the engine someplace? I don't have a clock on the dash. I'm not sitting in the boat, so I am trying to imagine what the dash looks like again. Was the hour meter a seperate meter or combined with something else? Thanks for the help so far.

The hour meter was a separate meter. In 1998. it was combined with the tachometer. If your tachometer was replaced with a 1998 tachometer, it would be there. Is is also very possible in the engine compartment.

Where would the hour meter be in the engine compartment? That's were I thought I saw it, but I didn't notice itwhen I was looking for it. Would it be under a panel?
