I broke the speedo pick up off the back of the boat today! Just broke the plastic part. Any good source for a new one? Also, any tricks for an adjustment to make them work as they should?
-Thanks, Steve

West Marine, or any other decent Marina will have them, just unbolt it, the black hose is a friction fit over the barbed end of the pitot tube, and take it with you. It's an easy fix.

You don't even have to unbolt it. Take a picture of it. Push the pivot pin out and take the pickup or what is left of it with the picture to West marine. Then just replace the pickup. That way you don't have to loosen any bolts or screws that may break the seal into the hull.
I am good on the replacement part, I was just wondering if the 3 adjuster nuts are supposed to be set to place the pick up in a certain spot to make it work best?
