    206 Perfect Pass Softer Pull

Looking for info on setting up Perfect Pass for a softer pull. KX has been set to - minus already. I have heard one of the promo drivers on the board may have a worth while trick. Thanks in advance.

You can try playing around with the switch by setting the px to 5 or 10. I am shocked to hear that the 330 is giving you too stiff of a pull. Can you explain? Thanks!

I can't fully explain except to say my boat was used in a tournament recently. Several of the skiers commented the pull seamed harder but ok. KX was at minus. I don't know if the driver adjusted PX for the skiers. I can tell you coming from a carburated boat without gear reduction I can feel more acceleration coming from the boat. thanks

more acceleration at what point? Out of the hole or during the run through the course? I am just curious to hear opinions on the 206 so that is why I am asking so many questions. The cruise will run at a solid speed until a skier pulls hard against it. The harder the skier pulls, the harder the boat "pulls" back. That is why you want to be as "invinsible" as possible so that you don't have to fight cruise per say.

the pull I am refering to is the pull coming around the bouy as you set your angle and put pressure back on the line

When I went from my old '82 MC to the '04 206 limited, I continually got pulled out the front when I set my edge after the turn. We reduced the skier and crew weight about 20%. It softened up the pull but kept the speed within tolerances. We then installed magnets on the course, reset the weights to true and recalibrated. Now it seems perfect. Of course I may just be getting used to the new engine.

George, You may want to turn off the switch. Just try normal and 0. What kind of line length do you ski at. The 206 will feel more solid to begin with. the extra 300 lbs will feel more solid. The wakes are the same, but you will feel the 300 lbs. The MC 197 and the Malibu LXI will feel the same. Due to HP on those engines, I lower my px from the CC setting of 10 to 5 and that helps me. The 196 will always feel softer to a tourny skier, but the average ball count will not go down.

Thanks Mark. Yu da man. I see on the other postings you love the Monza. Cool.

Did you decide if you're going to get the 196 or the 206 for next year?

SGY, I may have a buyer for a 196. If its all cool with CC, I may do a 196 this year. I have to give up my 2004 soon and than I have to use a Response til freeze up. What a bummer. Do you guys have snow yet? The Monza Rocks. I was totaly anti HO up to this point, and I still cant beleive it every time I look down while skiing and see the HO label staring at me. HO and Eddie Roberts have hit gold with this ski.

No snow yet but it's expected by Friday. Bummer is right. Don't hurt yourself behind that Response.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Monza. Pretty amazing.

                      Take it easy.

Mark, I'll ask you the same question I asked George. Do you have a cardboard box I can live in? My wife loves Colorado too much and won't move.

The house I am building on a manmade lake by Rochester MN has 1800 sq feet down stairs that need to be finished. Its all yours if you can use some tools. This is an open offer to anyone. Free pulls on record capable lake for labor.
My wife loves Colorado, maybe we could let the wives stay there all summer and Ill come and ski all winter.

My dad is a TV repairman and has an awesome set of tools.

Now if I can only get summers off from my firm I'd have it made. Maybe a local office in MSP would work.

Do free lessons go along with it?
