Went down to the Napa store looking for some Perfect Seal as mentioned in my owner's manual, although I ended up coming home with hopefully an equivalent thread sealant made by Permatex since Napa didn't carry the Perfect Seal stuff. Does anyone know/used this stuff before to create a seal on all the water and gas line drain plugs involved in the winterization process? Stuff says it's good for items up to 2" and max temp of +400. Exact product name is 'Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant Automotive Grade'. Thanks again for all the help.

RE: Perfect Seal Equivalents
It should work What year is your boat. If it has a knock sensor in one of the holes you don't want to use any sealant or lubricant as it will mess up the sensors ability to sense knocking.Nautiqueless in San Diego
