    Fuel Stabilizer

    Here's a newbie question.

Any downside to using a fuel stabilzer in a boat that likely will be run once every 4-6 weeks during a relatively mild Northern California winter?

If it is stabil, No - only the cost.

There is also a formula on the bottle for regular use.

I have heard that new fuel is having issues after as little as 90 days in some markets. Depends on the manufacturing process. I would say running a fuel additive/stabalizer would be a good thing. I am using the ethonal version of stabil.

I think he means he is using the sta-bil for ethanol blends....not sta-bil "with" ethanol.
