I have an 09 210 and haven't had any water come in the vents but then again I don't have my rubrail down to the water either.'18 SAN 210 Reef Blue/Admiral Blue Metal Flake

I've never surfed a 210 but I've had this issue with some other boats. Short term I taped off the surf side vent which worked pretty good though prolly not the safest idea becuase the bilge cant vent correctly but better than heading to the bottom I guess.Sold my boat to buy a house, the house is much less fun.

It most likely has to do with what you are doing when returning to a downed surfer.
Been a while but I believe if you are stopping to quick and turning the wrong direction
you will have water enter the boat.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

I put massive amounts of ballast in my boat for surfing and I cover my vent with a plastic trash bag and some duct tape......looks like **** but works perfect. If I found something that looked better I would use it, but don't really worry about it as it comes right off when were done.'08 SAN 210 Team Black w/Patriot red top stripe-Tow Biminis over the tower-4 under water transom lights-hot/cold shower-crest carpet-full throttle steering wheel-extra 6 channel JL amp-Pro 80's-WS420-fiberglass sub enclosure-led'd vents-Chromax Letters-and Tinted windshield for now......

Shy of relocating the vents plugging them is about the only option.
Watching how you drive helps but on some boat models the weight needed puts the vents virtually at water level from the start, add a person to the swim platform while changing riders and your taking on water!Sold my boat to buy a house, the house is much less fun.

Please describe the distribution of weight that you are using - I have yet to see a '02 to '06 take water through
the rear vents - and I'm talking a lot of weight packed in the boat. I just dont see how it's possible to get that low
unless it is during the turn and the wake catches up.2006 SANTE 210 (Pending Sale)

It happens on mine when I put too much weight and have too many people on board. We don't always have it listed that extreme, but when we do it sure is fun. It is just from riding, not turning wrong or anything. The vent rides right at the water line. You do have to bump the boat when stopping to keep the wave from coming over the back, but that is different. I am putting a higher capacity bilge pump in rear this Spring to help compensate for this. I have had the boat go into limp mode a few times from too much water being in there. I think a roll of thin black neoprene would cure most of this, just have never gotten around to getting the material.
AuMDLST, I have a friend whose 2002 SAN takes water in the gas vent. That is a really big problem. My vent is ahead of the driver, his is in the rear. He is going to make a bypass for it and vent further forward.the WakeSlayer

Pull back the throttle, and give it a bump before the wave hits the transom. Then pull to N, turn the wheel opposite of the side with all the ballast. I.E. weighted port, steer right, and the boat spin right around to the left.the WakeSlayer
