    Teleflex Guages Need Help

I have just purchsed this boat. 2002 SANTE 210.

If youll notice in the pic the 2 guages speedo and tach are very worn out and to tell you the truth am not even sure if they are working. As far as i know the seller told me they did when he sold me the boat. I have been reading lots of reviews and noticed that there are lots and lots of problems with these guages. I am very meticulous and dont like seeing these worn out. The rest of the boat is literrally in mint condition and is truly a Gem. Does anyone have any suggestions as per what i can do with these?

    Thanks All

    RE: Teleflex Guages Need Help

    Hi,
Their was a time when CC was replacing the gauges for free if you were the orginal owner. Not sure that is the case anymore. My suggestion is to re-gauge with white face Faria or somthing like them. Ebay is a good source for quality gauges at good prices like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FARIA...item45f0187dee

    Just a sugestion.

If you search through PlanetNautique forums, You will find lots of issues with the stock Teleflex gauges.
You need to replace the Tachometer, and the Speedometer complete, not just the faces. I believe the other "minor" gauges do not need replacement, but you might want to, so all the gauges on your boat match. I believe the tachometer also had an hour meter combined with the gauge, check your manual to see. If you do not have a manual, contact Correct Craft.

          guage look

Thanks Daniel. This is just too bad. The digital guages go so well with the boat. I have been on ebay looking at guages and they just dont look riht by faria. I difinitely want black ones, and furthermore they start to get pricey cause you need the digital hour guage. Quick questions what are the sizes of my guages? Also if I were to replace my hour meter how does the new tachometer know what hour to start at or will it automatically start at 0 hours?

I am an expert in photoshop so i figured i would post a pic that shows what the black kfaria guages would look like. Have a look. I personally dont like them. If I were to keep them I would buy the whole set, but I have yet to find the kit sold all together in black. If someones knows where i can get it please let me know. I would probably paint the other ring covers on the other guages black as well.

can you even buy new digital gauges anymore? I do remember there was a guy on here that cleaned them.

i dont think so. I have been looking everywhere. You can get analog but the hour counter is digital within. I couls clean them up as well, its just the paint is gone on the rubber of all theh buttons as well. I am going to keep shopping and see what i can find. It would be great if someone had a set of replacements.

I have a 2001 SN with the digital gauges. They still work but I realize they will need to be replaced at some point. Check out this thread from newwakesurfer. He replaced his gauges with teleflex units that look great with the rest of the stock gauges.

If you search on Teleflex Guages you will see that CC had a Faria upgrade kit It runs off the Perfect pass module or you have to install a paddle wheel. I posted pictures and instructions

I think it looks great, maybe the standard analog guages are more solid and will last a long time. Does anyone know where i can buy these teleflex guages posted through the link of jeclarke.

                    Thanks everyone

If it were me I would just upgrade your PP and find someone with a decent set of the digital gauges they will sell cheap. I did the upgrade and them the GPS PP. I never look at my anolog gauges anymore. If I had to do it over I would not of wasted the money on the gauge swap.

West marine carries the replacement analog speedo as a standard item, though they will have to pull it from the warehouse, the replacement analog combo tach/hourmeter is normally a custom order from west marine and is $$. If you run a search you can find the thread that has the actual part numbers. Also, you might have success talking directly to Teleflex Marine, I would try that route...

As to how the replacements look, I actually the contrast of the backlight blue analog gauges with the red back lighting on the secondary gauges, looks cool at night.

I would suggest going with gaffring or autometer marine guages. Both are used by the offshore racing gurus.

that seems to be good. Ill email the them and see what they can do for me. I may just get a whole new set of guages. I guess i am going to see furst what happens in the spring when i launch my boat and see how they function. I think a slick dash is a big thing to keeping this mint. Does anyone else have pics of replaced dash guages?

those guages are awesome ffmedic74 , I love the autometer carbon fiber ones. Just not sure how adaptable they are to the correct craft.

Can anyone tell me the exact sizes of the holes in the dash?
