    New Trailer Jack Installation

    Gang,
I want to upgrade my trailer jack and have been shopping around. The issue I have (or may not have) is that my trailer has a welded bracket that the current jack rotates on. Has anyone out there upgraded their jacks and how did you get around (or use) this welded-on bracket? I'm especially interested in the Fulton jack. Thanks in advance for you ideas/opinions...

    Peace

If you have a Shelby brand jack then you might find my previous post interesting. Your's looks like a Shelby to me but I'm no expert. I posted this in March of '09. I'm not sure if I've done the link right but here you go.

Sod, check mine out next time we're around. I tore my factory off and upgraded to the Fulton. Don't regret it a second.

I have a Ramlin with the welded bracket. I took the jack off and added a Fulton with the twin wheel. I placed it up against the bracket and with bolts and backing bars installed no problem. I don't have close up pix handy but it was pretty simple and looks great.
