    leaking Ballast pump

My center ballast tank fills partially with out the pump on in my 2006 SV211. I replaced the empellor with a new one but it still leaks by. At this point i have just been closing the manual valve when not in use but would like to eventually fix the problem. Has anyone else experianced this issue... ? What was the fix for the problem? Thanks

    RE: leaking Ballast pump

I have heard of this happening lately even with the ballast puppies. Im sure someone can chime in on this one that has had more experience. Right now with this seeming to be a continuous problem, I highly doubt I will be doing the ballast puppy conversion that a lot of people recommend. It may eventually have the same result as leaving the stock valves in there.

I bet it has nothing to do with the pumps. Check the fitting going into the hard tank as i have seen those break right at the tank.

^^ Same thing happened with a co-workers 2005 SV211. Fitting broke right off. In addition to the lousy stock valves.

He cut the system out and put in a jabsco / bag system..
