    Complete Boat Overhaul

    Hi All,

I am a new correct craft 2002 SANTE owner but for whats its worth I see a lot of you doing maintenance and rebuilds and mods so I figured I would post my first project I ever did on my first boat when I was 20 along with my brother.

The Boat was a 1983 IMP and the only reason we bought it was because it had a 350 V8 carburated 4 barrel as the stock engine. You will see a before and after shots along with some project images to follow right after.

Here is what we did to the boat:

    Complete overhaul specs

    - Stripped the entire boat
    - added in a new carpet
    - Redid the Vinyl on the seats
    - added a Monster Tower
    - Rebuilt the entire floor with marine plywood then fiberglass
    - Reinforced the wake tower supports where they bolt in the boat
    - Took the engine out and outdrive off
    - rebuilt the outdrive
    - Rebuilt the engine
    - Custom paint job on the entire boat including the hull
    - cut out floor and added coolers within
    - Added old tractor tire tubes cut in half like a banana and filled them with sand to put under the seats in the hull
    - poored cement in the back of the boat on each side of the motor under the floor

*everything was done A-Z with me and bro using internet *

This is the boat that hooked me on wakboarding and itrigued me to buy my super air

    Enjoy the pics

I'm in the procces of doing an overhaul of my 98' AIR but not near the calibur of what you did. This site is way helpful, there are alot of guys with some great projects and ideas and they aren't afraid to help out. By the way your 02' looks prety nice! Have fun on Planet Nautique!

I would highly recommend not pouring concrete in your SAN.

I actually sold that Ride. I would definitely not encourage anyone putting permanaent weight in their boat. Especially pouring concrete. It was very hard on the boat lift. YOur better off to build a nice housing to hold some fat sacs and hook up a bilge pump system to the electrical unit. I do not have this boat anymore I sold it to pay the taxes when I bought my SANTE.
