    Engine Oil for GT-40. . .Straight 40w?

I am getting ready to change the oil in my '97 Super Sport with a GT-40 motor. On the tag on the engine it says to use straight 40w oil? Is this what everyone else uses? If not, what else do you use? I've heard a lot of other people use 15w-40. Straight 40w is hard to find sometimes and I just wanted to see if this is definitely what I should be using. Also, how many quarts of oil does it usually hold. . .5 or 6?

And lastly, should I use straight 30w for the v-drive oil? Thanks.

    PCM says 40w40 above 60*, 30w30 below 60*.

straight 30 or 40 weight high performance oil for both the engine and the vdrive. You will probably get 5 quarts out of it but it doesn't hurt to buy a sixth just incase you need to use 5.5 quarts (If you don't use it all, you have some for the next oil change)
