I was looking into a steam cleaner for the carpet and vinyl last year and ended up with a small Bissell carpet cleaner because my search skils were not as good as yours. I spent over $150 on the cleaner and chemicals alone. Works o.k. but not nearly as well or with the versatility of a steam cleaner.

The Vapor Storm is the only small steam cleaner I've seen.

You must not watch infomercials in the middle of the night.

Is that where all these guys find the best toys? If so I might have to start staying up.

I have one of those "infomercial steamers" that I got as a present. Well, don't get your hopes up. The steam volume is pretty low, and represents more overall work than just using Fantastic, especially on VINYL!

I suppose it could be useful for removal of some stains that other cleaners don't attack very well, so I'll leave the door open on that one.

              White Chocolate,

I think the machine would work great especially in the cracks where 2 pieces of vinyl meet. The only thing I would watch out for is melting the vinyl since you are shooting out steam!?!?!
