What works best for removing water spots on billet aluminum

First picture shows area that I have tried to get clean and used Mothers Metal & Aluminum polish (not billet specific product). Second picture is an area I have not tried to clean yet.

For anyone who cares, I tried the Eagle One, which worked better than the Mothers mag and aluminum metal polish, but still left a some of the spots (although pretty hard to see unless up close). On a hunch, I thought I might try some Barkeeper's Friend (after just using some with typical great results on my 12" stainless All Clad fry pan). It took the spots out pretty well, but left a somewhat dull finish. I followed it up with the Mother's polish and am satisfied with the results. Here are some before and after shots.
