    Changing impeller seal.

Before I get started are there any tips on changing the impeller seal. 2001 PCM HO. Looking at it it does not appear the church key comes out. therefore not sure how to slide the new seal on. There is not a groove that the key slides in and out like my other boat. or does this key bang in and out. before I started to bang on things looking for some pointers. thanks

One question at a time. Do all keys come off the shaft that the impeller slides on, or do some shafts have built in keys?

What the heck is a church key? Do you mean woodruff key in shaft. I have never seen one that did not come out. What seal are you replacing? The O-ring on the face plate does not require removing the impeller or key.
Maybe your trying to replace the ceramic seal in the bearing housing? If so, I think it is retained with a snap ring. I assume you have a Shearwood pump? This is just one example of the Shearwood pump assembly, you may have another pump model.
