I would request measurements. The New Dimensions probably bolts right onto the 2nd Gen FCT, but if you have the original FCT, then I don't believe the footprint is identical.

      Chexi,

Thanks, i took a look at your ride, Nice boat!!! same as mine but i have black and white color scheme. Did you install the FCT2 on your boat yourself? That looks really good. Any help would be appreciated.

Also do you have the stock balast set up on that, I dont like the fill on the go option. Curious if you have a dirrect fill set up?

      Cheers

The original owner of my boat actually had the tower replaced. I talked to someone else recently who did it on a super sport and said that the footprint was not the same. I think the original tower has a wider (front to back) stance. Where the extra old holes were he enlarged into 1 big hole and added cup holders. Pretty smart actually.

Mine still has the stock ballast. I'm considering ripping out the tanks and putting in bags with Jabsco pumps. But as for now, I built a custom support structure in the back out of 3/4" plywood covered in 2 layers of epoxy and then carpeted it with outdoor carpet. Basically, I built an I beam out of plywood that goes between the two tanks, and then used some other pieces of the plywood around the outside parts of the tanks. These supports are about 1/2" taller than the tanks. I then put the new custom floor on top of that and can safely put a ballast bag on top and add more weight that way if I need it, but I rarely need it. The factory tanks plus my locker sack give me enough wake for my not so mad skillz.

I'll be going down to my boat this weekend. I'll try to remember to take some measurements. Does your boat have cupholders right in front of the front legs of the tower? Mine does. I wonder if when they upgraded the tower on this boat whether they did the same thing.

If your close to New Dimension, I would take the boat there and have them install. I did my own install of a ND tower on my 99 Sport - not that hard, but I can not imagine it will arrive perfectly bent match up holes. I also do not believe the older style and newer style towers have the exact same foot print, because I remember reading on this site about people filling in the holes (which also is no big deal). On my boat, I had to fill the holes from the bimini top and you can hardly tell. Using the exact match gel coat/paste.
